Yesterday we had belt testing at taekwondo. I am so proud of Glenn! He did awesome... He didn't have any problems doing his one-steps, and did his form all by himself without any help. This is the first time he has done his form by himself without any help. :)
After taekwondo testing we went to McDonald's to eat and Glenn played with a bunch of other kids. Glenn was excited because it was the first time he got to play in the playroom since they remodeled it. After that we went shopping.
Later we went to Forest's parents house and Glenn decided that he wanted to spend the night at his grandparents house.

Free Kisses
While we were waiting for my lab appt to get blood drawn I explained to Glenn that he was going to get to see mommy get a needle stuck in her and have some blood taken out. So being the sweet little boy that he is he preceded to tell me "Mom, try to be brave and try really hard not to cry. If you can be really brave and not cry you can get a really really really cheap toy" The really cheap toy came in because we were discussing how broke we were and that is why we couldn't get him some toy he wanted. Anyways I said "You know what I would like if I can be really brave?" Glenn: "What?" Me: "A kiss" Glenn got the biggest smile and said "That's a really good idea. And the best part is that kisses are free!!!" So Glenn got to watch them draw my blood and talked to the technician while she was doing it, got to feel the tube of blood and how warm it was. And I got a kiss from the best kid in the world!
After we got home we made a cake from scratch, did some schoolwork, then went to taekwondo (karate). Tomorrow Glenn will be getting his green belt and I will be getting my high yellow. After Karate we went home and read some more in his history book "The History of the United States" by Josephine Pollard.

Aparently I'm old! lol
Later today we are going to Ladysmith for my lab appt. Apparently I'm getting to the age now where I have to have cholesterol checks. Which really sucks since I have to fast for 12 hours before the appt. Glenn wasn't too thrilled about having to come with me as we have to get up really early to go. That was until he found out that we will be going to see his great-grandma Thacker (my grandma) tomorrow also. That made it all ok.
Yesterday was a nice day with Glenn as we did alot of snuggling on the couch and of course some schoolwork. Today we have started reading "The History of the United States" by Josephine Pollard. It's a book told in one-syllable words to make it easier to read for younger kids. We were learning about when they found Iceland in the year 900 and Glenn asked me if that was before I was born. Gosh I didn't think that I looked that old! lol Kids really do say the darnedest things.
